Course in Goulette and Ice Climbing

If you think that climbing an icefall was madness, you’re wrong! Ice in winter is magical, silent, arabesque, and shiny. Ice climbing is an incredible experience, less difficult than you might think. It starts your adrenaline pumping and you might even become passionate about this winter sport. Our favorite waterfalls to practice on in Gressoney are the Nicchia, the Punta Iolanda, the Ypsilon and the Lys Balma waterfalls.

During the 4-day Introduction course by the extremely professional and competent Gressoney guides, you will learn about the fundamental basics of ice climbing, do an in-depth study and practical training. It is an excellent course for beginners and some of the topics that you will be introduced to in your approach to the world of iced cascades are mountaineering safety, training in piolet traction, triangle progression, and choice of equipment.
