Overview
The Normal Route of Gran Paradiso is a gentle yet deeply captivating ascent, offering a wonderful gateway to mountaineering. It allows you to reach a prestigious and classic 4,000-metre peak without extreme difficulty, making it the perfect climb for those aspiring to conquer their very first "4,000er". The ultimate goal of the climb? Reaching the summit, of course, but also immersing yourself in the Gran Paradiso National Park, celebrated for its rich alpine flora and fauna, and enjoying the warm hospitality of the Chabod Refuge.
Programme
Day 1:
Meet your Alpine Guide at the scheduled time and check equipment at Pont Valsavarenche. We set off for a complete immersion into the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. We hike through larch forests and wide, open vistas, reaching the Chabod Refuge in about 2 hours, where we will spend the night.
Day 2:
We rise at dawn and begin our ascent along the moraine and the Laveciau glacier. In about 5 hours, we reach the famous Madonna statue at the summit, where a magnificent view of the Alps unfolds before us. After a brief pause to take in the beauty, we head back along the same route.
